I’m looking for a good scripture to stencil on my daughter’s bedroom wall. She is only 18mos but I still want it to be meaningful as she grows older.
Something short (cause the longer the more expensive).
I’d appreciate any ideas.

Thanks,
Elizabeth

For I know well the plans I have in mind for you, says the LORD, plans for your welfare, not for woe! plans to give you a future full of hope.

Jermiah 29:11

I have always liked that scripture.

Good one is
38"I am the handmaid of the Lord,"
Luke Chapter 1:38a

Luke 18:17
“Amen, I say to you, whoever does not accept the kingdom of God like a child will not enter it.”

Or, to be on a more positive note:

Luke 18:16
"Jesus, however, called the children to himself and said, “Let the children come to me and do not prevent them; for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these.”

Maybe just “the kingdom of God belongs to such as these” to keep it short.

Here are some of my favorites:

Romans 12:12
1 Cor. 13:4
John 3:16
Proverbs 1:33

In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your paths…

Trust in the Lord with all thy heart and lean not to your own understanding.

The Beattitudes

The passage where it speaks of two sparrows are sold for a fatthing and not one falls with out your Father knowing, are you not worth more than many sparrows?

(Sorry, no Bible at hand, you can google these to get the Chapt/Verse).

I like the idea of putting the fruit of the spirit on a child’s wall, but it might be too long.

Galatians 5:22-23 “The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, generosity, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.”

Sorry, it’s longer than I thought. Maybe you could go around the top of the walls like a border or something?

This one is my favorite as well. I have it on the wall in my office at home as well as on my computer at work. I’m unhappy in my job and I working on my master’s degree so that I can get out of there. Every time I see that scripture verse I know that eventhough I’m unhappy now, there is always hope, whether it be for me to eventually see that I can be happy in my job now or at a future job, the Lord will get me through it.

I also think that Psalm 4:9 is very good…

“In peace I shall both lie down and sleep, for you alone, Lord, make me secure”
