In John 12:31 ; John 14:30 and John 16:11.
Who is Jesus referring to when he says the ruler of this world?

Jesus also said that He has bound the strong man of the house (Satan) so that we can pillage it. Satan’s power has been curtailed by Jesus so that we can make disciples of all nations.

i have also heard that He might be referring to caesar (although i don’t go along with this). it could have been a sly jab at the roman government just as isaiah referenced the king of babylon (or it might have been assyria) by talking about satan.
