Hi there,

I’d like to try and find some scriptual reference (or other reading material) about receiving grace. I’d like to gently show to a friend that it is through baptism that we** first **receive God’s grace. This is the Catholic teaching isn’t it?

The reason is this:
They once said to me how they had received God’s grace, and are continuously blessed by God’s grace, and love the verse ‘by faith through grace’ etc but this person isn’t even baptised. I don’t doubt their belief in Christ and I know not to limit His grace giving authority, He can give it to whoever He wishes - but I can’t help feeling that this person has it the wrong way around. We have ‘debates’ every now and then and this person says that I am constantly being negative and pointing out how wrong they are - all I want to do is share the truth! How can I do this in a positive and charitable way? Or am I just being scrupulous?

The fellowship part comes in when this friend says that it’s just between them and God, it’s their personal relationship with Jesus.
I want to say that Jesus didn’t preach this, he said we are branches of the vine, sheep of the flock, his brothers, sisters, sons, daughters - we’re in it together as the church, which is his body and one part can’t say to other ‘I don’t need you!’.

Can anyone provide any advice?? I’m trying to step back and let the Holy Spirit do His work but I guess I get a little impatient…😊

[The crowd at Pentecost asked Peter,] Acts 2:37…what shall we do 38…Peter said… REPENT and BE BAPTIZED … FOR the REMISSION OF SINS and YOU WILL RECEIVE the GIFT of the HOLY SPIRIT. [In baptism we receive REMISSION OF SINS the GIFT=indwelling of the Holy Spirit. Peter didn’t say, well you believe and are now saved, by faith alone, if you want you can be baptized as a symbol of your new life, or you don’t have to be baptized at all.

Jn3:4 NICODEMUS SAITH unto him, HOW can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother’s womb, and be born? 5 JESUS ANSWERED, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, EXCEPT a man be BORN OF WATER AND of the SPIRIT, he CANNOT ENTER into the kingdom of God.

Peter tells us in 1Pt 1:23 For YOU HAVE BEEN BORN AGAIN, NOT OF PERISHABLE SEED, but of imperishable, THROUGH the LIVING and enduring WORD OF GOD. The word of God would be akin to the SEED of man and the heart the egg, once the word penetrates the heart supernatural faith is conceived. Before we are born of the flesh, natural life must first be conceived thru the SEED of man and the EGG of woman. We are not born at that instant but we are born of that SEED only after we are formed.

Our new supernatural life is conceived by the Holy Spirit thru the living seed of God’s word, which brings a living faith, through the working of the Holy Spirit. At that conception we have a decision to make, accept or reject, as God does not force. If we reject the gift of faith, we abort the new life. If we accept and repent being baptized, then we are delivered, as a babe in Christ, being born again by water and the Spirit in baptism, Jn3:5. Your friend is like a child who is way passed due, still remaining in the womb, the Great Physician can interven for his own good and birthed him by cesarean, apart from the nornative way ordained by God, thru baptism. Just as a physician who must in some instances birth a child by cesarean, which is not the normal way ordained by God. Your firend could still be in the womb, until he comes to the true knowledge of baptism and breaks thru the water. [Acts22:16 And now WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR? GET UP, BE BAPTIZED AND WASH YOUR SINS AWAY, calling on his name.’ ] Remember Paul had a life changing encounter with Christ, yet he was told to be baptized and wash his sins away. [Mk16:16 whoever **believes AND IS baptized WILL BE SAVED, but whoever does not believe will be condemned.]

Old Testament circumcision is not the same as baptism, although it did bring the circumcised into covenant family relationship with God, as does baptism. Circumcision made men members of the People of Israel, the people of God.

Baptism gives them entry to the kingdom of heaven the new spiritual Israel, the people of God. Circumcision is more of an earthly token pointing to the need for an inner change of heart. Circumcision of the flesh does not give grace to bring about a change of heart. Baptism gives grace and brings about a real change thru the action of the Holy Spirit. Old Testament circumcision of the flesh was a type and foreshadowing of something better to come. New Testament circumcision of the heart, is the fulfillment of old testament circumcision. Col 2:11 IN HIM YOU WERE ALSO CIRCUMCISED, in the PUTTING OFF OF THE SINFUL NATURE, NOT with A CIRCUMCISION DONE BY THE HANDS of men BUT with THE CIRCUMCISION DONE BY CHRIST, 12 HAVING BEEN BURIED WITH HIM IN BAPTISM and raised with him through your faith in the power of God, who raised him from the dead. In Ezekiel we have an Old Testament prophecy, according to the foreknowledge of God, of something better than circumcision made by hands to come.

We receive the indwelling of the Holy Spirit in the sacrament of Christ’s baptism and a strengthening in the sacrament of confirmation, by laying on of hands, confirmation is Pentecost for the baptized.
 
What must we do to be saved by Christ? How do we receive remission of sins by Christ? How do we receive the gift of the Holy Ghost?[Acts 2:38 …Peter said …REPENT and BE BAPTIZED…in the name of Jesus Christ FOR the REMISSION OF SINS and…RECEIVE THE GIFT OF THE HOLY GHOST.]

What must we do to be saved if we believe?[MK16:16 He that BELIEVETH and is BAPTIZED shall be SAVED but he that believeth not shall be damned.]

**How is our conscience purged? **
Hb9:14 How much more shall the BLOOD OF CHRIST, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, PURGE YOUR CONSCIENCE from dead works to serve the living God?]

**How does baptism now save us? **[1Pt3:21 and this water symbolizes baptism that now saves you also—not the removal of dirt from the body but THE PLEDGE OF A GOOD CONSCIENCE toward God. It saves you BY THE RESURRECTION of Jesus Christ,]

**How do we have our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience? **[Hb10:22 Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our HEARTS SPRINKLED FROM AN EVIL CONSCIENCE, and our bodies WAHSED WITH PURE WATER.]

**How does Christ wash us, from our sins, in his blood? How does Christ make us kings and priests unto God? **[Rv 1:5 …Jesus Christ…the faithful witness…first begotten of the dead…prince of kings…him that loved us and WASHED US FROM OUR SINS IN HIS own BLOOD 6 …made us kings and priests unto God…]

**How are we saved by Christ’s mercy? How are we washed by Christ? How are we regenerated by Christ? How are we renewed of the Holy Ghost by Christ? **[Titus 3:5 NOT BY WORKS of righteousness…we have done BUT BY HIS MERCY he saved us BY the WASHING of REGENERATION and RENEWING OF THE HOLY GHOST]

**How do we wash and what is our robes?
[Rv 7:14 I told him, “My lord, you know.” **He said to me, "These are those who came out of the great tribulation. They WASHED THEIR ROBES, and made them WHITE IN THE LAMB’S BLOOD.] Our body and soul, our robes, are washed in baptism thru the Lamb’s blood.

**What is this washing, in the name of the Lord and in the Spirit of our God, that sanctifies and justifies us? **
1Cor6:11 And such were some of you. But YOU WERE WASHED you were SANCTIFIED, you were JUSTIFIED in the NAME of the Lord JESUS Christ AND in the SPIRIT OF OUR GOD.

**How are our sins washed away?**Acts 22:16 And now why tarriest thou? Arise, and BE BAPTIZED, and WASH AWAY THY SINS, calling on the name of the Lord.

**How are we joined to the one body of Christ and drink of one Spirit? **[1Cor 12:13 BY ONE SPIRIT we were ALL BAPTIZED INTO ONE BODY Jews or Greeks slaves or free all were MADE TO DRINK OF ONE SPIRIT]

**How do we die with Christ? [Rms 6:3 Or don’t you know that all of us who were baptized into Christ Jesus were BAPTIZED INTO HIS DEATH?]
 
**How are we raised from the dead to new life with Christ? **

**How are we united to Christ? **How are we complete in Christ? How are we circumcised without hands putting off the body of the sins of the flesh? What is the circumcision of Christ? **

The answer to all the above is BAPTISM.

[Rms11:17 If some of the branches have been broken off, and YOU, THOUGH A WILD OLIVE SHOOT, have been GRAFTED IN AMONG THE OTHERS and now SHARE in THE NOURISHING SAP FROM THE OLIVE ROOT,] Being grafted into the new spiritual Israel the Church, by baptism we share the nourishing sap=Holy Spirit from the root=Christ. Adam and Eve lived in a state of “original justice”: the state of integrity wherein their whole beings were ordered to the will of God. With the fall, man has been deprived of the gifts our first parents enjoyed. These gifts are commonly called the “preternatural and supernatural gifts.”

With baptism, only the supernatural gifts are restored. The PRETERNATURAL GIFTS, LOST in the fall, are: infused knowledge, absence of concupiscence, and freedom from death and sickness. [Concupiscence would be the spiritual warfare within ourself. The flesh pulls us to fulfill all it’s desires regardless of sin, the soul wants to do the will of God.]

The SUPERNATURAL GIFTS, RESTORED IN BAPTISM, are INDWELLING OF GOD IN OUR SOULS through grace, AND THE theological VIRTUES (FAITH, HOPE, AND CHAIRTY).

Effects of Original Sin **** God told Adam and Eve in Genesis 3:1-24 that because of their sin they would have to work for a living, be at war with nature, suffer pain and sickness, and eventually die. Paul explains original sin in great detail in Romans5:12-19 and in 1Cor 15:21-22

You must unerstand original Sin to understand Infant Baptism
 
Sacraments are the fruit of the tree of life, the cross. Paul states in 1Cor 4:1 This is how one should regard us as servants of Christ and stewards of the mysteries of God. Sacraments or mysteries in English, Instituted by Christ and performed, with the intention of doing as Christ willed, are signs, words and actions, which by the power of Christ and action of the Holy Spirit, confer the grace signified.

Mk 8:23 tells us of a blind man, Jesus spit on his eyes and laid his hands on him and he was healed. Mk 7:32 a deaf man with a speech impediment, Christ put his fingers in his ears and spat and touched his tongue and healed him Jn 9:6 he spat on the ground, made clay of spittle and anointed the man’s eyes, saying Go wash in the pool, he went washed and came back seeing.
Did he who spoke the world into existence need to use signs to heal? No, but he choose to do so, because man is both material, body and spiritural, soul. Christ choose to apply the fruit of the Tree of Life (Cross) making use of material signs and words to bring about a spiritual reality to heal. He wants to touch us and he continues to touch us and heal us in the sacraments which he left the Church, the bride of Christ formed by the water and blood from the side of Christ (New Adam) as it came forth from his side on the cross and that bride, the Church, was given the breath of life (Holy Spirit) and power at Pentecost and sent on her mission. The Church ever virgin, conceiving, by the Holy Spirit and birthing the children of God by water and Spirit in baptism.

Christ said to the people in [Luke 12:54 …When you see a cloud rising in the west you say at once, A shower is coming and so it happens. 55 And when you see the south wind blowing, you say, There will be scorching heat; and it happens] Now, Christ is not speaking of sacraments in Lk12 the point is, when certain signs are seen in nature we know certain things will come about, AS GOD ORDAINED. So it is with sacraments, used, with the intention to do as Christ willed, just as the cloud in the west and the south wind, produce what they signify so also sacraments produce what they signify, AS GOD ORDAINED. Sacraments are God’s power and action, not mans, using material things to bring about his grace. It is God who instituted them not man. Man can only do as God instructed. If you have a medical problem and can’t pay the price, and a friend makes a big sacrifice and pays the price, with no strings, a free gift. All you need to do is go to the hospital to have the operation. If you have the operation, have you worked or earned anything?

Scripture indicates, to be a valid minister one must be SENT, [Rm 10:14 …how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? how shall they hear without a preacher? 15 how shall they preach EXCEPT THEY BE SENT? [Can an invisiable church SEND anyone?] Lk 6:12 And it came to pass in those days, that HE went out into a mountain to pray, and CONTINUED ALL NIGHT IN PRAYER to God. 13 And when it was day, he called unto him his disciples: and OF THEM HE CHOSE TWELVE, whom also he NAMED APOSTLES; JN 17:18 As you have SENT me into the world I also SENT them into the world 19 And for their sake I consecrate myself, THAT THEY ALSO MAY BE CONSECRATED IN TRUTH. 20 I do not pray for these alone but for those who will BELIEVE IN ME THROUGH THEIR WORD 21 THAT THEY ALL MAY BE ONE as you Father are in me and I in you THAT THE WORLD MAY BELIEVE you SENT ME.] Christ is praying for one specific VISIBLE sent group, the Apostles Fellowship, whom he consecrated in truth. [Mt 28:16 THE ELEVEN disciples 18 JESUS SPOKE TO THEM, ALL POWER IS GIVEN TO ME in heaven and in earth 19 GO TEACH ALL NATIONS BAPTIZING them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit 20 TEACHING to observe ALL things whatever I have COMMANDED you I AM WITH YOU always even TO THE END.] Can an invisiable church teach all nations till the end? That’s the great commission to the Church, the apostles fellowship. Christ to whom all power in heaven and earth is given, sent with his authority the apostles to TEACH ALL to observe what he taught, they were to go to all nations (universal, catholic). Only the apostles were sent to teach all nations, with the authority of Christ. Christ promised to be with them till the end of the world. Those individuals would not be around till the end, but their SENT successors in the Apostolic Fellowship would, by passing on their authority to teach, sanctify and rule by laying on of hands from bishop to bishop, in an unbroken line, till the end.

JN 21:14-17 Jesus asked Peter three times, “do you love me more than these” [THESE, would be the other apostles. After being asked three times and replying three times, “yes”. Jn 16:13 When THE SPIRIT OF TRUTH comes HE WILL GUIDE YOU into ALL the TRUTH Jn 14:26 the Holy Spirit HE SHALL TEACH YOU ALL things and BRING ALL things TO YOUR REMEMBRANCE WHATEVER I HAVE SAID TO YOU.] Christ is speaking to the Apostolic Fellowship, who will be endued with power from on high, by whom the Church will be guided into all truth and teach all things whatsoever Christ said, through the sacrament of Holy Orders, an unbroken line of successors, by laying on of hands, till the end of the world. The sacrament of Holy Orders, ordination, by laying of hands gives the GIFT of the Holy Spirit to enable an ordained minister to fulfill his mission. [2 TIM 1:6 …stir up the GIFT OF GOD IN YOU BY THE PUTTING ON OF MY HANDS 7 GOD HAS GIVEN US the SPIRIT OF POWER. [2Tm4:2 PREACH THE WORD; be prepared in season and out of season; CORRECT, REBUKE and ENCOURAGE—WITH great patience and CAREFUL INSTRUCTION] 1Tm5:1 Do not REBUKE an older man harshly, but exhort him as if he were your father. Treat younger men as brothers, Titus 1:5 For this I left you in Crete that you should set in order …and ORDAIN ELDERS in EVERY CITY AS I APPOINTED YOU. Do not let anyone despise you.] Acts 14:23 when they had ORDAINED elders IN EVERY CHURCH and prayed with fasting they commended them to the Lord on whom they believed. Acts 20:28 Take heed of yourself, and the flock over which the HOLY SPIRIT has MADE you OVERSEERS TO FEED THE CHURCH OF GOD purchased with his own blood, 1 TIM 5:17 Let the elders that RULE well be counted worthy of DOUBLE HONOUR especially they who labour in the WORD AND DOCTRINE. 1 Tin 4:13 Till I come attend to READING to EXHORTATION to DOCTRINE 14 Do not neglect THE GIFT in you GIVEN you by prophecy WITH THE LAYING ON OF the HANDS of the presbytery 16 TAKE HEED to yourself TO THE DOCTRINE continue in them for in doing this you shalt both SAVE yourself and THOSE WHO HEAR YOU.] I cannot find a VALID minister in the New Covenant who was not ordained and SENT directly by Christ including Paul, or SENT by laying on of hands in the unbroken apostolic line, either by an apostle or one they ordained. [Except false teachers, who may even have been ordained by laying on of hands, but not SENT by the FELLOWSHIP. They go out on their own authority, I have no doubt they used and thought scripture supported their theology. Acts15:24 Forasmuch as we have heard that CERTAIN which WENT OUT FROM US have troubled you with words SUBVERTING YOUR SOULS saying Ye must be circumcised and keep the law: to whom WE GAVE NO SUCH COMMANDMENT Jer23:21 I DID NOT SEND these prophets, yet they have run with their message; I did not speak to them, yet they have prophesied [Those not sent are false teachers.] 1Jn 4:6 We are of God Whoever knows God LISTENS TO US and he who is not of God DOES NOT LISTEN TO US BY THIS WE KNOW the spirit of TRUTH and the spirit of ERROR

The Bishops of the world in union with the Bishop of Rome (the Pope) make up the Magisterium (that teaching authority sent by Christ Mt28:16-20 GO TEACH ALL NATIONS I AM WITH YOU TILL THE END). Their duty is to teach, sanctify and govern. Teach the Word of God, faith and morals, what we must believe and moral standards. Sanctify by preaching the Word of God and administering the sacraments, govern the Church for good order, Jn 17:21 THAT THEY MAY BE ONE as you Father are in me and I in you that they also may be one in us THAT THE WORLD MAY BELIEVE you SENT ME

The Catholic Church continues steadfastly in the apostles doctrine and fellowship, in breaking of bread and in prayers, ACTS 2:42. The one sent fellowship Christ sent to teach all he commanded, Mt 28:20, as he promised to sent the Holy Spirit to lead them in all truth (not part but all) Jn 16:13. He that hears you hears me, LK 10:16, those whom Christ send we must listen to. If he neglect to hear the church treat him as a heathen, MT 18:17. I do not rely on my understanding nor on that of any man, no matter how learned, who in the last analysis gives only his own opinion, although he could be right at times. I prefer the assurance of those Christ SENT to lead in all truth, not hit and miss truth. to follow those, whom Christ has set over me, who have the gift of the Holy Spirit by laying on of hands in an unbroken line, to recall all Christ has taught, the Church to whom Christ promised the gates of hell shall never prevail against, Mt 16:18, the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth, 1 TM 3:14. [Eph3:7 Whereof I was made A MINISTER, ACCORDING TO THE GIFT of the grace of God given unto me BY the effectual working OF HIS POWER. 8 Unto me, who am less than the least of all saints, is this grace given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ; 9 And TO MAKE ALL MEN SEE what is the fellowship of THE MYSTERY, which from the beginning of the world hath been HID IN GOD, who created all things by Jesus Christ: 10 To the intent THAT NOW unto the principalities and powers in heavenly places MIGHT BE KNOWN BY THE CHURCH the manifold wisdom of God,] CONTINUED:
 
Two of the greatest brothers, Peter and Paul, went from Palestine to Rome, where both were martyred. The successor of Peter is the bishop of Rome, and holds the keys of the Davidic kingdom a type or foreshadowing of the regenerated and restored spiritual kingdom of Israel in the new covenant (Mt 19:28). Christ the Son of David is king in David’s line, who will build a house for God, (2Sam 7:12-14). Peter is the first minister (prime minister) [Isa22:19 I will drive you from your station 20 I will call my servant Eliakim 21 I will commit your government to his hand he shall be a father to the people of Jerusalem and to the house of Judah 22 And the key of the house of David will I lay on his shoulder so he shall open and none shall shut he shall shut and none shall open] Eliakim will be the new Prime Minster and called father of Jerusalem, in the Davidic Kingdom, he will succeed Shebna. So in the regenerated spiritual Kingdom of David, of which Christ is now king, Peter is will be appointed Prime Minister and called father=pope in the new Jerusalem=Church. The keys indicate the holder has authority over the other royal ministers (or apostles) as they do not receive keys, also indicates the head office has successors. When the office is vacant it is filled by the King in David’s line, who is Christ, with another by giving of the keys. Jesus alluded to this passage when giving the keys to Peter, Mt 16. Incidentally if Christ is King in David’s line, his mother, which all generations will call blessed, is Gebirah (Queen Mother) 1Kings 2:19. From Solomon the son of David, who built a house for God, there was an office of queen mother in the Dividic Kingdom, the type and foreshadowing of the regenerated spiritual Kingdom. The king Christ, the Son of David, is building a habitation for God of living stones.

The Jerusalem Council sent a letter to Antioch, with it decision settling a doctrinal dispute, which said, [Acts15:28 It seemed good to the HOLY SPIRIT and to US not to burden you with anything beyond the following requirements:] using their authority to bind and loose, Mt16:18. That magisterial teaching authority, sent by Christ, speaks with the authority of Christ, guided by the Holy Spirit, and all Christians knew it. That’s why the decision was accepted with JOY and without dispute in Antioch, Acts15.

Paul even checked his teaching with that one fellowship. [Gal2:1 Then fourteen years after I WENT UP AGAIN TO JERUSALEM with Barnabas, and took Titus with me also. 2 And I went up BY REVELATION, and COMMUNICATED UNTO THEM that GOSPEL which I PREACH among the Gentiles, but privately to them which were of reputation, LEST BY ANY MEANS I SHOULD run, or HAD RUN, IN VAIN.] Even though sent by Christ, Paul realized he could possibly be preaching another gospel than the Apostolic Fellowship. Paul went by revelation to check his teaching with the teaching of the Apostles’ Fellowship. Those SENT by Christ, to teach ALL NATIONS, ALL Christ commanded, till the end of the age, Mt28:16-20. The Apostolic Fellowship Christ promised the Holy Spirit would guide them into ALL TRUTH, Jn16:13. If individual Christians had the ability to be led into all truth, because they have the indwelling of the Holy Spirit, we would all be one without disagreement. We can see that is not the case.

What did people do the first time the gospel was preached by Peter? Acts2:41 Then THEY THAT gladly RECEIVED HIS WORD were BAPTIZED: and the same day there WERE ADDED UNTO THEM about three thousand souls. 42 And THEY CONTINUED steadfastly IN the APOSTLES’ DOCTRINE and FELLOWSHIP, and in BREAKING OF BREAD, and in PRAYERS. [Those that received his word were baptized. They were brought into the Church by baptism and CONTINUED steadfastly in the One Holy Catholic Apostolic Fellowship.] 1Cor 1:9 God is faithful you were called into THE FELLOWSHIP OF his Son JESUS CHRIST 10 I appeal to you BREATHREN by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ that all of you AGREE that there be no dissensions among you that you BE UNITED in the same mind and THE SAME JUDGMENT. 1Jn 4:6 We are of God Whoever knows God LISTENS TO US and he who is not of God DOES NOT LISTEN TO US BY THIS WE KNOW the spirit of TRUTH and the spirit of ERROR [Therefore we do not listen to men, the spirit of error, to be taken in by false teachers and every wind of doctine men can devise through sola scriptura, the tridition of men made a doctrine of God around 1521 AD.]

[Mk 9:38 And JOHN answered him SAYING MASTER we saw one casting out devils in thy name and HE FOLLOWETH NOT US and WE FORBAD HIM because HE FOLLOWETH NOT US 39 But JESUS SAID FORBID HIM NOT for there is no man which shall do a miracle in my name that can lightly speak evil of me 40 For he that is not against US is on OUR PART.] The Holy Spirit works in those separated denominations outside the Apostles Fellowship. Uniting them to that one fellowship in a spiritual way.
 
Rms1:5 Through him and for his name’s sake, we received grace and apostleship TO CALL PEOPLE from AMONG all the GENTILES TO THE OBEDIENCE THAT COMES FROM FAITH. 6 And you also are among those who are called to belong to Jesus Christ.] Your friend seens to have faith but not obedience of faith. 1Cor13:2 If I have the GIFT OF PROPHECY and can FATHOM ALL MYSTERIES and ALL KNOWLEDGE, and if I have A FAITH THAT CAN MOVE MOUNTAINS, BUT HAVE NOT LOVE, I am nothing.] You can have alot of faith and say Lord Lord yet deceive yourself with feel good salvation and not be saved. [James 1:22 But BE ye DOERS of the word, and NOT HEARERS ONLY, deceiving your own selves. 23 For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass: 24 For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was.] [CAPS added.]

How do we become children of God? How do we put on Christ?
[Gal 3:26 For YE ARE all the CHILDREN OF GOD BY FAITH in Christ Jesus. 27 For AS MANY of you AS HAVE BEEN BAPTIZED into Christ HAVE PUT ON CHRIST.]

Col 2:11 In him YOU WERE also CIRCUMCISED, in the PUTTING OFF THE SINFUL NATURE, not with a circumcision done by the hands of men but with THE CIRCUMCISION DONE BY CHRIST, 12 having been BURIED WITH HIM IN BAPTISM AND RAISED WITH HIM **THROUGH YOU FAITH **IN THE POWER OF GOD, who raised him from the dead. 13 When you were dead in your sins and in the uncircumcision of your sinful nature, God made you alive with Christ. He forgave us all our sins,] Your friends are relying on feel good expiriences and rejecting obedience of faith, faith alone is dead faith. James 2:26 As the body without the spirit is dead, so FAITH WITHOUT DEED IS DEAD. James chaper two is good to read.]
