Something I’ve suffered with is scrupulosity. There is two parts to it, one I often think over my words and am obessed with lying and being exact. The second is never believing I’m good enough in my faith. An example confession today I alluded to something general and gave specific examples that came to my mind and even though I kind of alluded to the general sin in the confession but failed to confess another specific part when we were about done I felt like I committed a sin by not going back to it. Some part of me feels I might just be taking it too far and I recognize it’s harmful to my spiritual life. Am I correct? Also what specific prayers or catholic understanding is there to get around this? Lastly, of course my brothers and sisters prayer any prayer would be apperciated. Thanks!

P.S. Yes, I’ve sought guidance from my priest and he may be aware of my issue but I’m not able to abtain his personal advice fully.

I told a priest about repeating sins to confession that you already confessed, he told me that it’s okay because we humans feel guilty about it and it means that you’re really sorry about it so you keep on repeating it because the wound that it caused is not yet fully healed, there is nothing wrong about confessing it again that’s why you should keep on praying.
