SDA and Bananas

I have heard some unusual things, but today I heard someone saying that SDAs are not allowed to eat bananas?

Is this true? and where did this come from?
 
Hi I’ve just done a google search and on the first page there is a recipe website for Seventh Day Adventists with a couple of banana recipes!
 
As a former SDA I have never heard that SDA’s r not allowed to eat bannans. Ellen White forbade alot of things and said some real whacked out things but dont think she forbade bananas.

I think what was forbidden was simply “banana liquor”, whatever that is.
 
Nope. Adventists eat bananas. 🙂 Never heard of that claim before… must have been a joke.
