When Jesus comes again - he judges all the people still on Earth and they are either sent to heaven, purgatory or hell? What happens to Earth? Does Earth still exist, but with no people on it?

Also, is Zion as mentioned in the psalms a real place?

Why in the world is people still confuse about end of times.

Look at the Jews. If they’re not converting en masse to the Catholic Church than it ain’t gonna happen!

Regarding Zion, the 2002 World Book Encyclopedia says:
Zion, pronounced ZY uhn, is a word with many different meanings. It comes from the Hebrew word Tsiyon. Originally, it was the name of a hill in the city of Jerusalem. After the Israelites captured the city from the Jebusites, Zion became the place where the royal palace of King David stood and where Solomon later built the Temple. It was the seat of Jewish worship and government. The name Zion also refers to the Israelites themselves. After their exile from the Holy Land, the word Zion meant to them their homeland, with Jerusalem, the Temple, and all Palestine’s ancient glory. Among Christians, the name Zion means the church ruled by God, or a heavenly city or heavenly home.

2 Peter 3:7-13 says:
. 7But by the same word the heavens and earth that now exist have been stored up for fire, being kept until the day of judgment and destruction of ungodly men.
8But do not ignore this one fact, beloved, that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. 9The Lord is not slow about his promise as some count slowness, but is forbearing toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance. 10But the day of the Lord will come like a thief, and then **the heavens will pass away with a loud noise, and the elements will be dissolved with fire, and the earth and the works that are upon it will be burned up.
**11Since all these things are thus to be dissolved, what sort of persons ought you to be in lives of holiness and godliness, 12waiting for and hastening the coming of the day of God, because of which the heavens will be kindled and dissolved, and the elements will melt with fire! 13But according to his promise we wait for new heavens and a new earth in which righteousness dwells.

At the Second Coming and Last Judgment, there is no longer a purgatory. Everyone goes either to heaven or hell.

Hi Chris M,
I do not know the catholic position regarding the revelation. My belief is that firstly we need to have the great tribulation, then 1000 years of life with satan bound, when those killed during the tribulation for holding fast to their belief will live and reign with Christ, then satan will be let out for ( a little while? who knows how long) then Christ will come, the rapture, the dissolving of heaven and earth and new heavens and a new earth and the Holy Jerusalem coming down to be on earth. Christ will then hand things back to His Father, all things being recovered.

To me, Mt. Zion is the name of a street close to my house 🙂
 
the best answer I have ever seen is in the CS Lewis book The Last Battle, last in the Narnia series.
