Secrets of the Code: The Unauthorized Guide to the Mysteries Behind the Da Vinci Code is a supplement to the book The Da Vinci Code. Have any of you read the supplement? Does it do a good job of debunking the book? I know of a high school (public) teacher who’s class will be reading both. I have expressed my objections but he seems to think the supplement will give the students a balanced view. Any comments. Should I try to convence him otherwise? Any suggestions how…Thanks!

I cannot answer your question myself, but there are several book reviews at Amazon.

I did see a presentaion last year at a monastery. A Benedictine professor at the University did an excellent job of debunking the allegations in Dan Browns book. Clearly a lot of serious scholars are riled up by the sloppy misrepresentations and bald lies of Dan Brown, and are trying to bring corrections into the public mind. But I don’t know if that is what this particular book is trying to do.
