I have been blasting from the past and doing Simply Red, George Michael and Elton John duos , and some really good Santana and others Duos.

I’m listening to early 2000s nu-metal, it’s what I listened to when I was a teenager, I really don’t care about the backlash against it later on. I am so glad my taste in music is not dictated by popular opinion. Rock out to whatever y’all want, it’s good with me.

Because of my parents, I grew up listening to Santana quite a bit. Not bad.

I don’t know anything about Fear Factory and I can’t say much about LP, but doesn’t Slipknot have a variant of a pentagram as a symbol? Not to mention that the masks that one of the members wears is definitely… lustful in nature, and in a particularly depraved way.

Been on a bit of a post-black and ambient black (leaning a bit towards towards cosmic black) metal tear recently. It was inspired a bit by these two releases this year:

Pantheon MMXIX by Ultar

Hallucinogen by Blut Aus Nord

It’s a regular compound enneagram.

I can only assume you’re referring to Fehn. If so, he was kicked out earlier this year and replaced by Tortilla Man.

Also, if you found his mask sexual, please never watch Pinocchio, as that might count as a near occasion of sin.

I’ve wasted all my daylight
Always dreamin’ in your eyes
I figured out what matters
Psychically feeling us go by

Your voice does this thing
And your smile could wreck me
The thought that we’ll both be gone someday
Tears me to pieces

I mostly listen to very melodic power metal, most often Nightwish, Battle Beast, Beast in Black, The Dark Element, Amaranthe, and Powerwolf.

Here is Yannis, the vocalist for Beast in Black, covering Nightwish’s “Ghost Love Score”:

And while maybe not really on the melodic side the genre (depending on which album we’re talking about), you can’t talk about power metal without bringing up the long-reigning kings of the genre:

I found this group about last year and fell in love with their songs.

Thank you very much! I listened to them with my wife today. We especially liked Avantasia and Sabaton, and will be listening to more of all the bands you listed in the near future!
