I’m posting a link from someone who has worked with thousands of people fleeing abusive groups. She has been there, in a New Age group that she feels damaged her life badly, and this is a quiz to assess your own vulnerability to attraction to dangerous groups when you’re making a decision about your religious beliefs. It’s via a site promoting a documentary film about a few families escaping a small country church that turned controlling and abusive. Some of the ex-members of that church have blogs linked on the site, but I’m posting the link for the quiz because it seems like people come here when they are open to new ideas and that’s a vulnerable time for most of us.

The point of the “mandatory check” questions is that there is vulnerability in everyone’s life. One such question is “Can you fog a mirror?” In other words, are you alive? It’s a caution not to be overconfident.
