The Crucified Rabbi by Dr. Taylor Marshall (convert, formerly an Episcopal Church priest) is a great book, in its 204 pages. It is subtitled Judaism and the Origins of Catholic Christianity.

I’m about 20 books behind in my reading but I bumped up this book (which is volume 1 in a series of 3 books) and the second book in the series. Catholic Perspectives on St.Paul. also about 200 pages, to the top of my reading list.

At my age of 69, I need to refresh my memory about the Bible and Catholicism, and these two books are an excellent choice. He brings up topics that I have never heard of and explains them clearly. For a Catholic or someone considering converting to Catholicism these books will bring your mind to rest about the Catholic Church. You might disagree with him, but at least he presents the Catholic position clearly.

I have this book, too, but haven’t read it. Perhaps I will bump it up.
