Are there any special helps from the Church concerning those who have vocations to get out of their state and come into other states where there are seminaries?

I guess I’m a little confused by your question but if you are wanting to become a priest or deacon and go to seminary then you must talk to your vocations director. He’ll be able to tell you the policy of your diocese on becoming a priest and if they will pay for seminary or not. I hope that helps.

I’m in the Atlanta diocese and the seminarians in our diocese all go to schools outside of our state.

I’m in GA too, that’s why I’m asking. It’s so sad that there are no seminaries in our state despite the number of Catholics in GA is rising.

Where a seminary is located is not the important factor.

What IS important is how faithful to the teachings of the Church the faculty is.

This happens in many dioceses throughout this country. There’s really only a small handful of seminaries in this country. Hope this helps. God Bless!

Are you asking if the Church helps you move into the seminary?

A diocese or religious order will have one or more seminaries where they send their men.

For example, the Archdiocese of Atlanta has a page where they list their seminarians. The list includes:

Blessed John XXIII Seminary (Massachusetts)
Mount St. Mary’s Seminary (Maryland)
Mundelein Seminary (Illinois)
Pontifical College Josephinum (Ohio)
Pontifical North American College (Vatican City)
Seminario Arquidiocesano de Monterrey (Mexico)
St. Joseph Seminary College (Louisiana)
St. Vincent Seminary (Pennsylvania)

The seminary you will attend will be chosen for you by your diocese.
