Sending your soul to keep God company

Hello, a several years ago, I was copying out of a saint’s book, and i remember her saying to God, “While I sleep, I send You my soul to keep you company.” I can’t remember, but I think it was St. Therese.

Are any of you familiar with this phrase and practice? I’ve never forgotten it, but can’t find the source,and I am interested in knowing more about this.
