did the septuagint canon always contain the dueterocanonical books or were there versions which didn’t and obly contained the protocanonicals?

Since we know for a fact that there are New Testament citations only found in the septuagint we know that the writers of the old testament used the septuagint as their old testament. If every version of the septuagint contained the dueterocanonical books then that would be evidence enough for their inspiration since the writers of the New Testament would have had them in their canon of old testament scripture.

Yes, they did have what we call the Deuterocanonicals.

BUT, I think they also contained a few other books:
Ezra
Maccabees III and IV
and maybe one other book.

Good Luck!
