Who is Serapis Cristus and why do some compare him to Jesus, or say that Serapis Cristus is Jesus? Are the paintings you see in Catholic Churches not Jesus, but Serapis Cristus?
I’d be willing to bet “Serapis Cristus” is a mixture of the Greco-Egyptian god Serapis with Jesus Christ.
A long time ago, the pagans used to mix two gods into one, in order to gain converts. As a matter of fact, Serapis is apparently a mixture of two gods himself. So when Christianity started growing, the pagans probably mixed Serapis with Jesus.
There is actually a lot of information out on the internet concerning the concept that Jesus is a mixture of several pagan gods. There is also a lot of information refuting it.
To watch the whole thing, just do a Youtube search for the next parts.
The overall point is: Jesus Christ isn’t a mixture of several gods, rather, several centuries after Christianity was established, people started merging their gods to Jesus.
