receive Jesus in the Eucharist.
As long as you are properly disposed to do so.

I cannot imagine the constant pain you must be in, compounded with being in the first trimester of your first pregnancy (it does get better after those first 13 or so weeks). Remember, you can do all things through He who is our strength.

Hope that as the nation celebrates freedom and 4th of July, those who are burdened would learn , moment by moment to take the burdens to The One who has done so for us - and He did so , in the strength of The Holy and Mighty Spirit …to send to us too the Spirit , to come and take control …of our own lives and of those around us !

The evil one had gained control through our first parents and we have The Woman as the enemy of that power and her intercession given to us in so many ways ; the Green Scapular that does not have to be worn ( from the Marian center of the Vincentians, Maryland ) and given to us with the special promise of grace of conversion , may be through the gift of a little extra faith and trust that it brings can be a good aid - asking for conversion for many others too who have similar sitautions .

Many nonCatholics seem to find the Divine Mercy prayers also as nonthreatening …and this can esp. be said on behalf of others who may not do so on their own …asking our Lord , to be merciful …so that in spite of our rebellion and thus refusal to allow The Spirit to come in, He would come …He, who has been with our Lord, in His Passion …

Marriage can be a good means for each person to become more and more surrendered to The Spirit and for the eventual freedom of having The Spirit alone being in control at all moments …and when diffrences arise, it is seen more as an occasion to invite and plead in The Spirit even more …when the occasion to serve or submit arises , it is seen as a moment of empowering the Spirit …and so on…The Sacraments , the full life of The Church …all such would be relished more for same …

There are some Catholic Churches that have all night vigils esp. on First Fri - Sat ; some who have gone through such testify how it can be a powerful help to let the walls come tumbling down !

Blessings !

I don’t know if what I have to say is entirely correct, but it is my gut reaction. I would have a VERY hard time doing the following things:
  1. Not baptizing my child, even in secret if necessary, knowing well the risk of losing that child unbaptized.
  2. Allowing any man who is not legitimately my husband to prevent me from raising my child a Catholic, or to impose Protestantism on my child.
  3. Continuing to share the marriage bed with a man to whom I am not legitimately married.
  4. Committing fully in marriage (by having the marriage blessed) to a man who refuses, even in the politest of ways, to have serious discussions about the things that are of highest concern to me. If he is unwilling to do this, there are serious limitations to his love for me, and it is certainly not the sort of Christ-like, sacrificial love that a husband ought to have for his wife.
I pray earnestly that the Holy Spirit will help you to navigate these treacherous waters. I know what pain it is to love a person who disagrees with you at the very core. I would not wish this on any wife or husband. Peace to you, sister.
