…and also possibly in Pueblo, Colorado.

They are a small group founded by Blessed Peter Eymard. They are unique in that although they are contemplative, they are not cloistered. They practice Adoration before the BS and promote adoration of the eucharist in parishes. They wear an attractive white modified habit.

In 1996 a deranged man entered their convent and killed two of the nuns and seriously injured two others. The small community immediately forgave him and comforted his family, but does not appear to have completely recovered from this incident, which was described recently in NPR’s “Day To Day”.

They now consist of older members and certainly need vocations, and would probably be open to older women.

…to continue the unlabeled topic, that is, orders open to older vocations, by which I mean women in their 50’s and 60’s, often divorced (annulled) with children and/or grandchildren,

–these are often smaller orders who wear no habit or an optional or modified habit,

–there is the Resurrection Community in Maine, Dominican sisters of Bethany, who traditionally have been involved in prison work, now do retreats in addition to this, at:
