Dear Brothers and Sisters,

Reading this entry from St. Faustina’s “Diary”, again I realized the beautiful work God does in a soul. Her prayer is encouraging:
1289 Most sweet Jesus, set on fire my love for You and transform me into Yourself. Divinize me that my deeds may be pleasing to You. May this be accomplished by the power of the Holy Communion I receive daily. Oh how greatly I desire to be wholly transformed into You, O Lord.
Even if we cannot participate in the Holy Sacrifice every day and receive Holy Communion every day, we can unite ourselves with Masses being offered at any moment all over the world. We can ask Jesus to come to us in a “Spiritual Communion” whenever we cannot receive Him sacramentally. God calls all of us to holiness by our Baptism, and yet how many of us answer His call with a whole heart? Let us pray with St. Faustina to Jesus that He may set our hearts on fire and transform each of us into Himself!

Jesus, I trust in You!
Mary, Mother and Model of the Church, pray for us.
St. Faustina, pray for us and with us.

Amen! and thank you!
Dear Petra,

Thanks for your “Amen” to St. Faustina’s prayer. How Catholics need to know their Faith – and the beautiful Truth God has revealed to His Church through Jesus, and the Holy Spirit sent to bring us into All Truth. (cf Jn 16:13)

The truth that God wants to “divinize” us – that is to “transform” us and make us more like Him – is not taught in many schools or parishes, in my experience. I’m grateful to the Saints, like St. Faustina, Pope St. John Paul and so many holy men and women who have shared their experiences of Truth with us.
