I have not not watched much of the show but am curious about whether Lucy’s husband was still Catholic. It was mentioned when they were dating and Matt was marrying the rabbi’s daughter.

Now that Lucy and he are married and have a child, were they married in a joint ceremony and more importantly what about the baby’s baptism?

Have they dealt with the issues or due they raise them once just to gloss over them the rest of the series? Why is a -Christian-Jewish wedding a big story but the mixed Christian wedding is not?

They were married by her father. I don’t recall a priest being at the ceremony, and I don’t recall hearing mention of it since.

I love this show; sad that it’s coming to an end after this season.

And also has Kevin’s previous marriage ever been annulled?

I am also sad to see this show end. After tonight’s episode WB announced in January will be the countdown to the final 11 episodes.:crying:

I have loved this show since the beginning. It is one of the very few decent family shows left on tv.

It was a good family-values show, but the Christianity it portrayed was very generic, vanilla, one-size-fits-all, lowest-common-denominator----pick your descriptor.

However, I have liked Catherine Hicks every since Star Trek IV.

I thought last night’s episode was nice. The nativity scene, and then they read the story of Christ’s birth at the end. More than you’ll see on any other secular show these days, anyway…

I liked how they showed the Catholic Church and Catholic Relief Services when Annie and the twins were giving money to the Darfur refugees. Catherine Hicks is Catholic.
