**Washington, DC (LifeNews.com) – **MaterCare International, an international group of OBGYNs, has become the seventh medical organization to affirm the link between abortion and breast cancer. The organization says its disappointed that groups like the National Cancer Institute has misled women about the research on the subject.

Dr. R. L. Walley, an Obstetrics and Gynecology research professor, said MaterCare was first presented with information about the link at its October 2004 conference.

It is a shame that people are not informed of the consequences of abortion. Not only is the most innocent member of society killed, the mother also suffers.

Should it be suprizing that abortion leads to higher cancer rates? Cancer normally comes into play when we are making our bodies do something that they are not meant to do, right? You smoke, and you get lung cancer. You play in agent orange, and you get another form. It seems well within reason that if a mother aborts her child, her body, which has been spending its energy on making a place for the child, will be forced to “forget” the child and breast, ovarian, uteral, and tubal cancer may result.

Anyway. There is no lack of evidence to this effect. What needs to be done, is the promotion of it by credible sources… doctors themselves need to take up the fight. The rest of us can help out as we have, and pray for pro-life doctors to have the courage to stand up for the innocent… and the mothers of the innocent.

Do any of these studies give an estimate as to approximately how much more likely you are to get breast cancer with an abortion? I don’t doubt the link, but i feel it is helpful to give people more specific numbers.
