Please take my advice, learn from my mistakes, and listen to “wait for me” by Rebecca St James (download it). I wish i found that song when i was your age. Imagine your wedding day, when you look so beautiful, when your husband takes off your dress knowing that you are for him only on this day, what could make a man happier? Nothing, believe me im now wise enough to know what men really want, and not what they say they want. Do you know what an honour that is for a real man? Imagine how sexy you are to him on that day, knowing that youve never experienced such a thing, knowing that he will show you what its like to be truly loved by a man. Only your husband will ever know how to love you like that, only one opportunity exists in life to ever feel that way, and that is your wedding night. Dont look at it as a fantasy, look at it as an opportunity to turn that into a reality for you, i can never ever have that for myself. You’ll probably say that you dont know any guys like that, but there are, and God will allow you to find him, and when you do, dont allow yourself to have regrets. As much as my boyfriend loves me now, and he does very much, if i was a virgin and if i stayed that way til we got married he would be overjoyed. Most older guys would, because theyve been there, done that and now they want a woman who was not afraid of rejecting others for him.

Aly, virgins are very desirable to men. I hope you have been able to retain yours. Believe me, guys are enchanted by virgins because they are so rare.

I doubt that you would go to hell if you had sex, but you would lose something very precious which is to give your future spouse the gift of purity. And hopefully he will give you the same, there’s something very special about two people finding each other in that sense for the first time, please don’t squander it.
 
All of the answers u guys are giving me (well most em 🙂 ) are really cool. Alot of people say that the bible says this and that but can never show me where. hearing about real life stuff helps way more.

In that case the couple is not really in love but thirsts for lust. Scripture says that “love is patient,” If it is truly love then they can wait. Couples that say, “we are so in love, we can’t wait” are not really in love. They just cant wait to jump into bed for sexual relations. Premarital/extramarital sex is a grave sin, and if you do it willfully knowing that it is as such it is a mortal sin. Dying in the state of unrepentant mortal sin means you indeed will go to hell.

Aly, I met “Mr. Right” in my 40’s. We’ll celebrate our 10th anniversary next month.

I threw away my virginity when I was sixteen, and did a lot of fornicating. I learned many of the things others have mentioned, and one that has not been:

Your body will *lie *to you, telling you you’re in love, when you’re really just “in lust.” Those hormones are strong! I can’t tell you how many times I “fell in love” so I could feed my lust. Oh, I was soooo “liberated.” 😦

I also caught 3 STDs, which rendered me sterile. God blessed me and allowed me to avoid the incurable ones - but my fornication didn’t just deprive me of children - it also, like birth control, denied God His ability to use me to bring children into the world, and denied my husband the chance of being a father.

And remember this - a boy who wants you to prove your love for him by having sex with him, does **not **love you. Real love puts the other person first; real love puts the loved one’s salvation first of all; real love does not demand proof.

Read 1 Cor 13. Paul gives us the directions for love.

Love is patient and kind; love is not jealous or boastful; it is not arrogant or rude. Love does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrong, but rejoices in the right. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never ends… 1 Cor 13:4-8

Does that sound impossible? Believe me, it’s not. My husband and I have it. It’s not perfect every minute - but there are a couple of virgins who help me out and strengthen me: our Mother Mary, and the Little Flower. And my hubby also has a devotion to Mary, and also asks for St. Joseph’s intercession.

Out of all this, what I want you to remember is my regret. I look at my DH sometimes and think what a wonderful gift it would have been to give him my virginity. And I do the same thing when I think of what a wonderful father he would be.

So “keep it clean,” kiddo. I promise you that it will be worth the wait.

You might want to read Dawn Eden’s book Thrill of the Chaste. It also talks about real life stuff, from her own life.

Matthew 15:19-20.
Mark 7:20-21.
Galatians 5:19-21.
Ephesians 5:3-13.
Colossians 3:5-10.
Revelation 21:8.

Here are some Old Testament verses on fornication:
Exodus 22:15-16.
Deuteronomy 22:28-29.
