What would you guess? Were we born with these aids to use? Where should we stop on using aids or other stimuli in the name of pleasure seeking, what about visual aids and adult content secular stuff??? I am only guessing here, but the intent of the creator is for sanctity in marriage and bonding with love and devotion. Someone else can try to define this I am really not the one and do not wish to be the judge either, but my guess is kind of extractable from what is herein.

If two people understand the absolutely powerful gift af sexual love within a Catholic marriage -there would be no need for sex toys-because its not sex—its love…three in the marriage , you know…the husband ,the wife and Jesus…and nothing else…start with theology ofa the body and review the marriage Mass texts…that’s a better place to start than the sex toy shop…the risk is 'using your wife /husband/ for your pleasure—you’re falling out of the boat if you think its ok…at least in my opinion…and yes,i speak from experience…Blessings…Benedicta

I think that we need a special forum where adults can speak about such things as masturbation and sex toys without fear that younger members will venture in. This topic is really only for those who are older. Infact, I don’t know how to discuss this without getting graphic.
As for the original question, I would think that it depends on the couple.If the man or woman found it disagreeable or humiliating then such items shouldn’t be used. If they don’t then I see no problem.
There was a documentary done a few years back and it showed that when a woman orgasims it makes her uterus contract and actually helps deliver sperm up inside of her, and aids in the chances that she will get pregnant. Some women have difficulty in this regard and I could see why a certain type of toy might be brought into the bedroom.
