Hello guys, I finally confessed my sins that I really want to confess. After all confessins I finally said to a Priest. When I told him the biggest lie on my frienda. He asked me some questions. It feels like God is talking to me and I cried during my confession.

@JesusmyLord

2 Corinthians 7:9-11 Now I rejoice, not because you were grieved, but because your grief led to repentance; for you felt a godly grief, so that you were not harmed in any way by us. 10 For godly grief produces a repentance that leads to salvation and brings no regret, but worldly grief produces death. 11 For see what earnestness this godly grief has produced in you, what eagerness to clear yourselves, what indignation, what alarm, what longing, what zeal, what punishment! At every point you have proved yourselves guiltless in the matter.God Bless

I cried in confession once.
The priest was super-nice about it.

One of the sacristans in the neighbouring parish came with boxes of tissues and was heading to the confessionals. She said to us, who were in RCIA, that there must be people crying during confessions as she and the other sacristans need to take new boxes there all the time.

I must be one of the only ones who hasn’t really cried in confession.

Nope, I don’t cry in confession because I know I’ve been a hardcore sinner for the longest time. It’s like a blood draw… very scientific… sin in, sin out, i am healthy again.

I don’t think crying is bad at all. I don’t know if I have but if I haven’t, I probably did later at least a little. Our sins are basically one of the most intimate details of our lives. We live in a culture where if you show no emotion your “tough”. To me this seems almost silly at times. Nothing wrong with occasionally crying if your engaging some of the most difficult wishes, wants, failures… I think a little emotion shows some genuineness. It’s like fixing a broken bone, resetting it can be tough… but your doing it to get to something better… good for you for engaging it!

I haven’t either. I think it’s a testament to how much Christ really shows up in the confessional. The peace I experience in there, especially for the subject matter, has to be supernatural. I’ve cried lots and lots thinking about my sins, or thinking about confessing them. But never while confessing them.

I cry during adoration sometimes. Adoration is a beautiful thing but it really gets to me emotionally. You come truly face to face with Jesus who sacrificed everything and bore everyone’s hate and anger and jealously.

And in my life I’ve acted sinfully like I’m helping to crucify Jesus all over again. And when I’m feeling rejected and sad and feeling that nobody notices what I’m doing, adoration reminds me that God knows my pain, He knows my worries since the beginning of time. That gets me crying

That reminds me of one of the most life changing things I’ve ever heard someone say:

“If you were the only person on Earth, Christ would have still died for you. But then, you’d have to drive the nails”
