Is it something we should worry about or is it a sort of unfair bias against the Muslims?
why should it worry you?

First of all Sharia means law so your thread is saying law law.

Secondly Sharia is only for Muslims. Christians and Jews have their own laws.

In Egypt which is a Muslim majority country Criminal Law is French and Family Law is Sharia. All Egyptians are tried under French Law for criminal cases and the Christians and Jews family matters are judged by Christian and Jewish judges.

I have no idea why non Muslims spend so much time arguint about Sharia when it has nothing to do with them

So what should be the penalty for apostasy in a Muslim country according to Sharia?

Strange you haven’t noticed that those ‘legal structures’ already exist, eg the Beth Din of America.

Because I’m not exactly interested in what goes on in the US, I’ve never checked before but it would appear that the US has the same kind of civil law ‘Arbitration Court’ system that we have in the UK (within which the ‘Sharia Courts’ operate).
I saw the link. Pretty scary stuff. What are they thinking???

You need to come to terms with the idea of arbitration courts - perhaps you should watch a few episodes of ‘Judge Judy’?
