Sharing Communion With the Very Young

I’ve seen a couple of people during mass receive the Eucharist then hand a piece to their very young children. How do you approach these people and tell them that this is not done?

Unless you know these people personally, and thus already have a friendly relationship with them, it would be best to approach the pastor and explain the situation. The pastor can then educate those who will be distributing Communion on the proper means of dealing with the situation; and perhaps, once informed, the pastor will also choose to approach the ones doing this individually and give them guidance as to the rules of receiving Communion.
