So, as sad as it is, I really don’t have anywhere to post this other than here, which I KNOW my SIL won’t see it 😉 (evangelical Christian ;))

She is driving me INSANE with her multi-level marketing pressure. I HATE MLMs to begin with (having had a really bad experience with one when I was young), but she is cult-like possessed. She emails me, messages me, posts constantly on FB. She’s very sensitive, uber-defensive, not in a “good place” emotionally (and hasn’t been since I’ve known my hubs) and we all handle her (and her sister) with kid gloves. At some point though, I’m going to have to tell her to back off. This makes my husband sigh and rub his head just thinking about it.

Okay, I feel better now that I got that off my chest 🙂

Do what ya’ gotta’ do, just do it the same as you would with Christ next to you. And if it causes ripples, so be it. If hubs is rubbing his head at just the thought of someone telling her to back it up, he may as well be rubbing because someone did. (That might be bad advice, since I don’t really know the situation. But, there it is.)

Create a filter on your email to send her emails straight to trash. In Facebook, unfollow her, then you’ll only see her posts if you deliberately go to her page.

Might help a little.

True, true 🤔 Between his sister and I, hubs may be rubbing his head either way…

I think that may be where we’re headed. Love family news but can get it other places. Also, a friend just texted me about a nifty little “hide” button…

A bit off topic, but what does she sell?
Some of those MLMs are absolutely brutal and getting out of them is a horror.

Thrive or something like that? The patch and shake and vitamins that are supposed to make you feel “alive” all the time. And lose weight. And make you rich, popular and pretty much anything else you want…

@DisorientingSneeze…those memes are EXACTLY how I feel about MLMs. Plus, I think their manipulative tactics (like send your SIL one patch as a “Christmas present” to get her “hooked” into spending $150 month on supplements, of which you get a commission) and high pressure strategies (asking me for any “other” emails I may have so she can start sending Thrive promos to them) are so obnoxious they pretty much guarantee I will NOT buy the product

I never heard of it, but there’s tons of health products sold by dealers like that.
Shackley comes to mind.

I hadn’t heard of it either but there is a TON of them. Many teachers (traditionally not a high paying job) join them in order to pay bills, so I see them at work but it’s a very controlled environment where people literally cannot harass you the way they do IRL
