Should a doctor in a hospital obey the request of the relative of a patient to stop a treatment that sustains life?

Update

Someone convinced the grandaughter to allow a procedure to insert a new catheter and the doctors managed to do it.
The grandmother, who was supposed to live at most 12 more hours has survived three days. She would not have survived if she had not received again the vital fluids she needed.
I guess then the removal of the catheter would probably have caused her to die of thirst and hunger.
She is in a serious condition, from which who knows if she will recover, but it seemd the right thing to do, don’t you agree?

Honestly, if it was me or my wife in that situation. No it does not seem the right thing to do. I of course do not have all the details though.

None of us can really say in this situation what is right since we do not have all of the necessary details. We can only pray that God’s will be done.

Peace
