Should a Rosary be worn around the neck?

There’s a women in my parish who wears her Rosary around her neck.

Isn’t a Rosary a sacramental and should not be worn around the neck nor on a rear view mirror in a car?
 
It depends on why someone is wearing the rosary on their neck. It could be because they pray the rosary frequently and don’t want to be without it, it could serve as a reminder to them to pray, it could be an outward expression of their deep inner faith. A rosary on a rear view mirror could be there because the person doesn’t want to lose it in their car.

However, the rosary as a sacramental and instrument of prayer should never be treated as a decoration or fashion accessory. Such treatment would be disrespectful to everything that the rosary means.
