How common is it for a transitional deacon in a religious order to be called “Father”?

Thanks,

Tom

Dear Tom,

It is not common because it is not the term for a deacon. “Father” is reserved for priests in the Catholic Church. That a deacon belongs to a religious order makes no difference.
