Should all rites become one?

I have run into a great Carthusian site googling. I can’t remember the name, but type in Carthusian liturgy, or mass. It’s webmaster is someone who was/is a cistercian, but tried out the carthusiansx for a while.
He has the mass on the website.
 
I think if you study the history of our Church and its Liturgy you will find how and why different rite developed and why they are necessary and good, So my answer is NO all Rites should not become one (remember, the Council of Trent saw the necessity of the various Rites).
