since you have use of the car, by all means go, and take time to explore the area, get tourist info by internet or AAA, or from his company. find out if other wives and families are going as well and you may team up. some of our best low cost vacations were done this way (although for his company the training commenced at 8 am, break for lunch, regrouped on the golf course until happy hour, and couples joined up again then and for dinner and evening. there were also organized sightseeing for spouses).
