I personally do not think so. I actually have a number of Disney movie posters hung on my wall, and I greatly enjoyed and respected their movies through the years. Even if some of the contents are perceived to be anti-Christian, I believe they have a right to express their views, and I believe that the contents of their movies promote humanitarian values!

Ewan McGregor has a short and to-the-point response to those boycotting Beauty and the Beast over LeFou’s “exclusively gay moment.”

“It’s just like, he’s a gay character and it’s 2017 for f— sake,” the actor, who plays Lumière in the film, told Stephen Colbert on The Late Show Monday. “There’s a lot of gay sex in this cartoon,” he joked earlier, “and I think if you live anywhere near Alabama you should not go and see this film. What would Jesus think?”

😞

Personally I would have to see what the church says about going to see Beauty and the Beast considering the Beast part for one.

There’s also other reasons why not to see Beauty and the Beast for me. I also don’t think it was that great having Emma as Belle.

Methinks , to be consistent , we would have to boycott the whole of the Entertainment industry .

Come to think of it , that doesn’t sound like a bad idea after all .

I think the reason people would boycott Disney directly would be because families want to be able to sit down together and watch a movie. Say for example even of other different religions.

The children are our future. Correct me if I’m wrong parents are supposed to teach their teach children morals. Let’s consider how it can affect our society/world having children’s movies having Pro practicing LGB films.

Proverbs 22:6 King James Version (KJV)
6 Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.

If you really dedicate yourself to it, I’m sure you could find something to boycott in every single company out there. Eventually you have to live your life.

Some people think that their film, Pocahontas, has an anti-Christian theme. For example, John Smith saying, “If you’re not with me, you’re against me.” This is actually a quote of Christ, but in the movie the quote is paired with evil.

Actually I have been thinking of boycotting society in general. The life of a desert hermit grows more attractive hourly.

Some people can find politics in a glass of water.
Is it fluoridated? Were proper environmental regulations followed in protecting the water source? Are the water company employees unionized? Was the infrastructure federally subsidized? Did creation of the reservoir involve damage to the local ecosystem? Was the glass manufactured in China or the US? What was the citizenship status of the person who served the glass of water? Whose glass is half full and whose is half empty?

There are days when the Amish are very enticing .
No kidding! I especially like their avoidance of hi-tech, even though I currently use it to post on this website.

Yes, but no law says I have to live it as part of modern civilization. Desert hermitage, here I come!

Case in point…

They don’t avoid it. They just don’t own it. They will, however, borrow someone else’s with abandon, which I have always found quite odd.

Interesting! I never knew this.

If you wait for an official Church position on each individual movie before you see it, you’re going to be waiting a long time. The Church doesn’t micromanage our lives this way.
