Should I attend a funeral at a baptist church?

I didn’t know where else to put this, so I’m sorry if its in the wrong place. anyways, a coworker of mine has passed away recently, please do pray for his soul, even though he was a really nice fellow, and was a good imitator of Christ. Theres a viewing of the body, and then service afterward at the baptist church, I wasn’t sure what to do, so I thought I’d ask you guys.

Of course you should go to your friend’s funeral.I think you may be getting confused with loyalties.We are allowed, in fact encouraged to befriend everyone no matter what their religious beliefs.It is a wonderful thing you are doing to pay your last respects to your friend.May God bless you

Thanks for your help guys. I was hesitant because there was a service and I wasn’t sure if it would be okay to attend or not. I guess it was a stupid question, and some of you answered in ways that made me feel dumb but I guess I should have expected it with my question. I rather look dumb then go without knowing if its okay. And the whole protestant communion thing was on my mind as well, I thought “what if they do that?”. Thank you.

I’ve never seen communion at a non-Catholic funeral. But, if it were to be offered, you would simply stay in your seat. Catholics may not participate in non-Catholic communion.
