Our neighbor just invited us to his son’s baptism into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (Mormons). I know that they don’t use the trinitarian formula (or are there some Mormons that do?). Can I and my family, as Catholics, attend the baptism?
They are very nice people, but have told my six-year-old that there is no difference between Catholicism and Mormanism (she told them that that’s **not **true). It seems like if we go then it is giving approval to those beliefs, but I would like to know what the Church teaches in this matter.
