A priest told me I can go to other houses of worship as long as it does not interfere with my Sunday mass obligation. Another priest told me I could even go to a synagogue as long as I don’t go too often. I would just be careful with what they are saying. If you are spiritually mature with your faith and know that the Protestant church isn’t going to change your mind on your Catholic faith then go. Otherwise I would reconsider it. The thing with Protestantism is that is Christian so it is similar but it is sometimes so similar that you might hear something that a Protestant says and think it is a good Christian thing that person said even though it might go against Catholic teachings.
