Should I bow towards an unconsecrated altar?

The Mass I usually attend takes place in a prayer room in a local university. To my knowledge, the altar used for Mass is not consecrated. Is it proper to bow towards an unconsecrated altar?

If the Body and Blood of the Lord have rested on the altar, it is worthy of reverence–absolutely!
