Should I find an older priest for reconciliation?

My job moved us to a new area and we have joined a parish with one priest. He is 30 years old and this is his third year with the parish. I have not been to confession in years. I find it hard to confess to this young priest. Should I seek out an older priest at a neighboring parish?

You’re free to seek out any priest you feel comfortable confessing to. Keep in mind though that the important thing is to confess to God through the ministry of the priest. While there is nothing wrong with finding a regular confessor you like (for any number of reasons), you should be careful not to allow personal preferences to prevent you from going to confession on a regular basis.
