Should I give a Rosary to a non-Catholic?

One of my son’s friends was just in a horrible auto accident and has brain damage. His mom is beside herself. I so want to bring her a Rosary and tell her how “all the company of angels and saints, including Mary”, and praying for her and her son. Would this be appropriate if she is a Fundamentalist Protestant? I so want to–but am not sure. Any thoughts? Am thinking also of having it blessed by a priest first today at Mass.

Appreciate your advice.

The rosary is great if you think she is going to pray it. I’d bet not- but how about something more in line with their faith like a blessed cross?
Or a crucifix on a chain that can hang on the bed in the hospital?

Your compassion is truly inspiring. Because she is a Fundamentalist, any gift that has Catholic roots (Rosary, Curcifix, etc.) might be read as, “This would not have happened if he were Catholic”

A simple cross would mean a lot.

God Bless you for your compassion,

Davis

If you know them well enough …to know they would accept …

I have some rosaries and do give them to others…I also, have rosary phamplets. I had one person say…I always wondered what it was about… speaking about the prayers…
