I will give (briefly as I can) the factual situation and then ask for your answers.
Went to confession directly before mass, and confessed all sins I could think of to the Priest…including the fact that I married outside the Catholic church (to a Protestant) without any dispensation. Then during mass I took communion. Was this wrong?
My understanding of why a marriage (in my situation) would be a sin is that the Catholic church doesn’t recognize the marriage…so that when my wife and I have marital relations we are fornicating.
Well obviously we didn’t have marital relations between the time I confessed and the time I took communion…so was I ok in doing so?
Thanks
