Should I receive the Annointing of the Sick?

I’ve torn ligaments in my knee and require surgery. I’m 35 years old and other than borderline hypertension in good health. As surgerys go this is a minor one, however, I will be under full anesthesia and as with any surgery there are potential risks ie. blood clots. I just want to make sure that this is the proper usage of the sacrament. I refer you to C.C.C. 1515. In short is this a serious operation?

Yes, by all means. Going under anestesia always has some risks. It is appropriate for you to receive this sacrament.
