Should one sing along to questionable songs at Mass?

Is it sinful to sing along to a song at Mass when the song is not GIRM-approved?
 
So far as I know, the General Instruction of the Roman Missal does not offer a list of “approved” songs. If there is a song played at Mass that you believe is inappropriate or contains problematic theology, you certainly are free to refrain from singing along.
