Greetings,
I am an elementary school teacher in Riverside CA. These days I see many youths wearing the Rosary around their necks, and at times doing what childern do, placing the beads in their mouths. That is just one example of what I witness. However, my concern is whether I should approach my students that are wearing them and discuss with them if they know what it is they have around their necks. In addition, my other concern is that I am a public educator, and I may be reprimanded for addressing this “private” issue with children that are not my concern in this matter? How should I address this?
