I just got home from watching “Hotel Rwanda” and I’m pretty disturbed. That’s what the filmmaker’s wanted – of course. I guess they did their job.

I’m pretty upset with the lack of response from our secular western governments but, also, I don’t remember what public response the Catholic Church made. There was one scene, near the end, were a catholic Nun, on their way to the refugee camp was holding a Knights of Columbus rosary ring.

I know the K_of_C are a civil organization that primarily perform works of charity but I wonder . . . Where are today’s Catholic Knights that are willing to stand in the way of violence for moral good? What would it take to get the Pope to take a strong(er) stand? I guess I’m just frustrated at my powerlessness to have stopped the genocide. http://forums.catholic-questions.org/images/icons/icon9.gif
