Should this be considered stealing?

Today, I bought some food from a pizza place that I work at and the cashier didn’t ring up one of the toppings that I got on the pizza. I mentioned to her that she wasn’t ringing me up for all that I had ordered and she pretty much said that it was something that they (I’m guessing her and her mom who is the manager) did for certain people. Now, I am wondering if I committed a mortal sin because I did not push for her to ring me up for that other topping.

Also, I suffer from scrupulosity so that makes trying to figure this out even harder for me.

Is what I did a mortal sin or am I just being too scrupulous about it?

It’s not a sin at all. If her mom who is the manager allows this then its ok. She has the right to run her business how she wishes, even if it means she loses money

Besides, it’s good to get a favor once in a while.

Many businesses throw in something from time to time to ensure customer loyalty. There is nothing wrong with that and it could not possibly be a sin to participate. Yes, it may be negative to revenue sometimes, but the overall effect is positive for the business.

the cashier is responsible for knowing the price of the pizza, you reminded her what the size and toppings were, she told you the price was correct. No problem. She in effect gave you a special price, which pizza places do all the time. If you suffer from scrupulosity bring these questions to the one priest who directs you spiritually and follow his advice.

A fruit and vegetable place I visit frequently often throws in an extra piece of fruit as a sample, or rounds down the change on the total. I regard it as a gift to a friendly customer.
