Should we be standing or kneeling before communion?

What is the Church law regarding standing or kneeling before going to communion?

The town where I live near has one chapel where the congregation stands and the other two chapels where the people kneel.

When people visit each others church it is like the Grand Old Duke of York at times, “when they are only half way up they`re neither up nor down”
