Should we receive the Precious Blood during flu season?

Would it be licit to choose not to receive the Precious Blood during a flu season or pandemic? I know prudential judgement is needed; however, I was wondering if there was a liturgical, canonical reference to such an act among the laity or clergy. Thank you in advance for your response(s)!
