I have a dear friend. She is a practicing Catholic EXCEPT she does not believe in the Church’s teaching regarding artificial birth control and has used those methods in her marriage. She has been diagnosed with terminal cancer and has months to live.
IF she decides to seek the sacrament of confession should she confess her actions even though she does not believe what she has done is sinful and is not sorry for it?
With that stance should she even go to confession at all?
Thank you for your answer.
