If you show up late to a mass other than your Sunday obligation, may you receive the Eucharist at that mass? Must you be present for a full mass - from processional to recessional - to receive the Eucharist, regardless of what day it is?

we just had this question a few days ago. You can receive communion at any Mass, no matter when you show up, as long as you are properly disposed.

You have to have “heard Mass.” So what does that mean exactly? Use your well-formed conscience.

Mass on days other than Sundays and Holy Days of Obligation is completely optional and voluntary. There is no obligation that would be compromised by being late. Therefore, if the person is otherwise properly disposed, he has committed no sin by being late, and may receive.

That said, there are valid reasons for being late and there are careless, rude people who should make a better effort to be on time. We as observers have no way of knowing which category a certain person falls into, so should make no judgement about a person who arrives late to daily Mass and receives Communion.

This is not true. The Church even has a rite for receiving Holy Communion outside of Mass. The rite is NOT restricted to the sick.

That being said and all things being equal, it is considered preferable to receive Holy Communion within the context of Mass.
