 The shroud of Turin as this priest says is the burial shroud in which Christ was wrapped when he was buried and from which he rose from the dead. This priest is one of the leading authorities in the world on the Shroud of Turin. He tells how the shroud evidences what was done to Jesus when he was tortured and crucified.

 Though Catholics are free to believe this is not the case, strong evidence supports its authenticity.

Watched a documentary last night on The Tower of London. It is absolutely horrific and unbelievable almost what tortures people endured in The Tower and over days before being burnt alive to death. They were only burnt alive if they had endured the tortures refusing to abandon their beliefs. If they recanted their life would be save but they must have been physically and mentally broken for the rest of their lives. I knew a person very well who had PTSD i.e. how traumatic it was and the treatment he received to try to help him through it. But back in the 16th century there was no understanding nor treatment for PTSD.

Re the Shroud of Turiin. I find it far more unbievable that The Shroud is some kind of fraud than to believe that it is real and certainly The Church holds it as holy. I think probably it will always remain a point of contention. Some seeming to prove it is real - others doing the opposite.
But then a miracle is what occurs when the unbelievable is proven to be real, to actually occur. There could be a breakthrough with science where The Shroud is undoubtedly proven to be genuine.

Can’t happen.

You could prove the Shroud was the right age (that hasn’t happened), but you could never prove that it was around our LORD. Full stop.
