Signal Graces Fragrance of Roses & Fragrance of Incense

Perhaps after a spiritual phenomenon experience I have come to expect more than most from the Blessed Virgin Mary’s promise of “Signal Graces”. In 1990, my fiancee and I were driving to see the Vicar of Faith of the Diocese of Youngstown that obtained for me the Decree of the Favor of Faith from Pope John Paul II which was signed by Cardinal Ratzinger (later Pope Benedict). We were married May 4, 1991. On the drive to Youngstown, I said “Let’s say a Rosary that God and the Blessed Mother will bless us.” Halfway through the Rosary, I was blasted with the overwhelming fragrance of roses. Very excited I said, “Do you smell that?” She was equally excited and said “Yes!” We took this supernatural experience as a sign that God approved and would Bless our marriage. Several years later we discussed that experience, we were both surprised to learn that as I received the overwhelming fragrance of roses my wife received an overwhelming fragrance of incense. Our overwhelming experience is what I call a miraculous “Signal Grace.”
