Silent Prayer

Is it acceptable to pray silently in your head or do prayers need to be spoken aloud? If I’m listening to a recorded rosary listening, possibly saying it silently but sometimes just listening am I still praying the rosary?

Silently is just fine. You might hear the term, vocal prayer, but that only means prayers that have set words, like the Our Father, Hail Mary, Memorare, etc. It does not mean that you must vocalize them.
